Selling OutcomesBack to track
Track 5
8 min · 70 XPOutcome language on a live call
Feature language creeps back in under pressure. Here's how to catch it in real time.
The bridge
When you must name a deliverable, bridge it immediately: deliverable → 'which means' → outcome → 'so that' → their number.
- 'We'd rebuild the booking page…'
- '…which means people can book without calling…'
- '…so that the enquiries you're already paying for stop dropping off.'
Say it like this
Weak
The package includes a five-page site, local SEO, and monthly reporting.
Meri standard
You'd end up showing on the map for emergency work, and every enquiry lands somewhere you can actually see it. The reporting is just so you can check I'm telling the truth.
Practice drill
Take three features from any Meri service and bridge each one into an outcome using 'which means… so that…'.
